Kerry Fallon Horgan, Managing Partner, Flexibility At Work

Kerry Fallon Horgan is a consultant, trainer, coach, author and public speaker. She is the Managing Partner of Flexibility at Work, a management consultancy specialising in work/life balance and diversity strategies, flexible work practices, life coaching, relationship capital and organisational change programs.

Kerry is the author of two books, numerous articles, a video and audio program, “Flexibility At Work: The Opportunities & Challenges”. In her latest book, “Time On, Time Out! Flexible Work Solutions to Keep Your Life in Balance”, Kerry provides both organisational and personal strategies for success with work/life balance and for improving bottom line performance.

She has worked for more than a decade in her own businesses as a facilitator, coach and management consultant to organisations in the private, public and community sectors. Kerry worked as the Diversity consultant to the St James Ethics Centre and facilitated programs on "Creating & Managing Flexible Work Practices" throughout Australia for the Australian Human Resources Institute. Kerry consults at all organisational levels to a broad range of businesses including the finance, retail, construction, mining and manufacturing sectors. People from hundreds of organisations have attended her workshops and presentations.

An acknowledged expert in her field, Kerry has been interviewed on radio programs throughout Australia, on TV programs such as the Bloomberg Business Report for Foxtel as well as for The Australian Financial Review, The Age, The Australian, The Sydney Morning Herald, The Daily Telegraph, Canberra Times and Business Sydney Newspapers. As a recognised authority, she has been the finalist judge for the 2006 and 2007 National HR Awards, Health and Wellbeing category.

Kerry’s successful record of imparting skills to her program participants in a business environment has lead to high profile Conference presentations. These have included the CPA “Focus on Excellence” Conference, the "Sustainable Human Capital Management" Conference, the "Occupational Health and Wellbeing" Conference, the Australian Human Resource Institute "Becoming An Employer of Choice" and "Realigning the HR Function" Conferences, the ACCI Work & Family Conference, the Work/Life Issues Conference and the "National Workers Compensation Summit 2007". Kerry was the keynote speaker for the Australian Medical Association conference, "The New Medical Workforce - Options for Change”.

Prior to starting her own business, Kerry headed a financial counselling service in the finance sector. She has also authored a book on financial counselling, published by Allen & Unwin, and was President, Vice President and Secretary of the Financial Counsellor's Association.

A long term advocate of issues of importance to women, Kerry is the CEO of the Womens Healing Org International. She formally worked for the Department for Women, Chaired the major Advisory Body to the State Government on Women's Issues, was a board member of Women & Management and on the Executive of the NSW EEO Practitioner's Association.

Kerry is a qualified counsellor and Master Coach and is accredited in Certificate 1V in Assessment and Workplace Training. She has undertaken training in facilitation skills in the USA and Europe.

Her passion is to help create organisations in which the human spirit can soar and to guide individuals in achieving their potential in all their life roles.

In her audio program, Flexibility At Work: The Opportunities & Challenges, Kerry explores the benefits of and barriers to flexible work practices with experts in the field and outstanding business leaders including Anita Roddick, Chief Executive, The Body Shop and Bob Joss, former CEO Westpac Banking Corporation.
